Elektralite PaintSpot DMX Channel Assignments

• Channel 1 - Color Wheel:
  • 0-13 Closed Shutter (must be open and dimmer up for light output)
  • 14-27 Open White
  • 28-41 Red
  • 42-55 Yellow
  • 56-69 Violet
  • 70-83 Green
  • 84-97 Orange
  • 98-111 Blue
  • 112-127 UV
  • 128-187 Forwards rainbow effect from fast to slow
  • 188-193 No rotation
  • 194-255 Backwards rainbow effect from slow to fast
• Channel 2 - Selecting the gobos from the gobo wheel plus rotation of the gobo wheel itself:
  • 0-9 Open (No gobo engaged)
  • 10-19 Rot. gobo 1 (GA008)
  • 20-29 Rot. gobo 2 (M071)
  • 30-39 Rot. gobo 3 (M037)
  • 40-49 Rot. gobo 4 (GB001)
  • 50-59 Rot. gobo 5 (GA023)
  • 60-69 Rot. gobo 6 (M038)
  • 70-89 Gobo 1 shake slow to fast
  • 90-109 Gobo 2 shake slow to fast
  • 110-129 Gobo 3 shake slow to fast
  • 130-149 Gobo 4 shake slow to fast
  • 150-169 Gobo 5 shake slow to fast
  • 170-189 Gobo 6 shake slow to fast
  • 190-255 Rot. gobo wheel cont. rotation slow to fast
• Channel 3 - Rotating the gobos (including indexing & rotation of the gobos):
  • 0-127 Gobo indexing
  • 128-187 Forward gobo rotation from fast to slow
  • 188-193 No rotation (Recommend as the start position when engaging the gobo rotation. Enables quick movement to forwards or backwards rotation without “transition issues”.
  • 194-255 Backwards gobo rotation from slow to fast
• Channel 4 - Selecting the gobos from the fixed gobo wheel:
  • 0-13 Open
  • 14-27 Gobo 1 (M051)
  • 28-41 Gobo 2 (M043)
  • 42-55 Gobo 3 (M026)
  • 56-69 Gobo 4 (M076)
  • 70-83 Gobo 5 (M008)
  • 84-97 Gobo 6 (M061)
  • 98-111 Gobo 7 (M065)
  • 112-127 Gobo 1 shake slow to fast
  • 128-143 Gobo 2 shake slow to fast
  • 144-159 Gobo 3 shake slow to fast
  • 160-175 Gobo 4 shake slow to fast
  • 176-191 Gobo 5 shake slow to fast
  • 192-207 Gobo 6 shake slow to fast
  • 208-223 Gobo 7 shake slow to fast
  • 224-255 Gobo wheel rotation from slow to fast
• Channel 5 - Focus
• Channel 6 - Electronic strobing from no strobe (at 0 dmx) to fast (255)
• Channel 7 - Dimmer
  • 0-255 Intensity 0 to 100% (Shutter on channel 1 must be open for light output)
• Channel 8 - Iris:
  • 0-191 Maximum to Minimum diameter
  • 192-223 Pulse opening fast to slow
  • 224-255 Pulse closing slow to fast
• Channel 9 – Lamp on/off, reset and internal programs:
  • 0-19 color change normal. Snapping from one color to the next. This is the preferred setting.
  • 20-39 color change fine. Allows half colors (between colors) to be chosen.
  • 40-59 Lamp on. To strike the lamp (when the fixture has been “told” to get the lamp strike info from the controller) engage this channel at between 40-59 for about 7 seconds. The lamp will then strike. Once struck the value can be changed back to
    0 as a rest/parking position.
  • 60-79 Not used
  • 80-99 Motor reset. Engage this range of values for 7 seconds and the motors will reset in the fixture. The reset will complete in about 30 seconds. If you continue to leave this channel at between these values then the fixture will constantly reset. Not a pretty thing to do!
  • 100-119 Internal program 1
  • 120-139 Internal program 2
  • 140-159 Internal program 3
  • 160-179 Internal program 4
  • 180-199 Internal program 5
  • 200-219 Internal program 6
  • 220-239 Internal program 7
  • 240-255 Internal program 8

Color Wheel

The PaintSpot is provided with the following colors shown for convenience against Rosco and Lee swatch reference.

Note : The colors equivalents were subjectively assessed and some variation is bound to exist due to such variables as lamp life.
